| 指出导致初流量法解不稳定的主要原因，提出了区域识别函数的新概念，对不连续的区域识别函数进行了线性微调，使之连续化，提出了“改进初流量法”.无论理论还是算例皆表明，“改进初流量法”既保持了只需一次形成和分解总体传导矩阵的优点，又解决了初流量法解不稳定的问题，使之具有较好的收敛性。 |

| In this paper the main cause of instability in Initial Flow Method IFM for unconfined seepage is demonstrated. A new concept named Regional Identification Function (RIF) is suggested for the establishment of a modified method. By using this modified method the unstable problem in IFM can be solved. |
