| Based on the analysis of existing theories, observations data and experimental results the formation and stability of a straight river, the main factors controlling the process of the river pattern formation as well as the conditions for a straight river transform into othe patterns are investigated. It is concluded that the straight pattrn should not be included as one of the typical patterns thatare self-formed. |
