Abstract:Inrecentyears,theharmandthreatofmicroplasticspollutiontotheglobalecologicalenvironmentcan
notbeignored.Duetochangesinwaterenvironmentandhydrodynamicconditions,alargenumberofmicroplastics
willmigratetoestuarieswithwaterflowandcollidewithfineparticlesandsediment ,resultinginheterogeneousag
gregationandchangingtheirtransportbehaviorsignificantly ,thusaffectingthetrendofparticulatematterandother
elementsintheenvironment.Inordertofurtherclarifythedrivingfactors,aggregationandtransportcharacteris
tics ,mechanismandenvironmentaleffectsofsedimentandmicroplasticsheterogeneousaggregation,thispaper
combinedwithrecentdomesticandforeignresearchdevelopments,discussedandsummarizedthedrivingfactors
andenvironmentaleffectsoffineparticlessedimentandmicroplasticsheterogeneousaggregationinestuaries ,en
richedtheenvironmentaleffectstheoryofsedimentanditsaggregates ,andextendedthetheoreticalresearchdimen
sion.Anevaluationindexsystem fortheenvironmentaleffectsofheterogeneousaggregationisproposedfrom the
macro ,mesoscopicandmicrolevels.Thisstudyishelpfultoenrichanddeepenthetheoreticalsystemofenviron
mentalsedimentanditsenvironmentaleffects ,andcanprovidetheoreticalsupportforstrengtheningestuarinewater
environmentalmanagementtechnologyandimprovingthelevelandabilityofwaterpollutionpreventionandcontrol.
