Abstract:Energydissipationistheessentialpropertyofconcretedeformationandfailure.Itisafeasiblewayto
studythefailureofquasi - brittlematerialssuchasrockmassandconcretefromtheperspectiveofenergy.However,
theexistingdamageanalysisresultsbasedonthedefinitionofdamagevariablebyenergyarenotconsistentwiththe
actualdamageevolutionprocessofconcrete.Inthisstudy ,anewrelationbetweenthedamagevariableandthedis
sipatedenergyisestablished ,anditisconsideredthatthedamageofconcreteisnotallcausedbythedissipated
energy ,butbyapartofit.Therefore,thedissipativeenergyisdividedintotwoparts,oneisthedissipativeener
gyU thatcausestheconcretedamage,andtheotherisotherdissipativeenergyU intheprocessofconcretework

andenergyconversionunderloads.Byintroducingthedamageenergydissipationcorrectioncoefficient λ ,thedam
agevariableisdefined.The λvalueisdeterminedaccordingtothemeasuredtestcurve,andthedamageevolution
equationisestablished.Thedamageanalysisresultsofthemeasuredtestcurveshowthatthedamageevolution
processcalculatedbythismethodismoreconsistentwiththetestcurvethanbythetraditionalmethod.Themethod
isappliedtothestress - straincurvegiveninthehydraulicconcretespecification ,andthevariationlawofdamage
variableandequivalentplasticstraininthedamageevolutionprocessofhydraulicconcretearerevealed ,whichpro
videsafeasiblewaytocarryoutdamageanalysisofhydraulicconcrete.
