                  Abstract:Waterflowsaroundhydraulicstructuressuchasgatepiersanddiversionpiers,itresultsinvortexsepa
                  ratedflow.Thethree - dimensionalwakestructurehascomplexhydrodynamiccharacteristics ,andflowcontrolof
                  vortexseparatedflowisnotonlynecessaryfortheoptimizationdesignofgatepiers ,butalsorelatedtotheefficiency
                  andsafetyofengineeringoperation.Onthebasisofverifyingthethree - dimensionalhydrodynamicmathematical
                  model ,thisarticlestudiesthethree - dimensionalhydrodynamiccharacteristicsofvortexseparationflowandflow
                  controlafterthecircularendpierisslotted.Itcomparesthetime - averagedvelocitydistribution ,turbulentflowen
                  ergy ,andturbulenceintensitydistributioninthelongitudinal,transverse,andverticaldirectionsundertheseam
                  lessandslottedpierschemes ,andexploresthehydrodynamiccharacteristicsoftheslottedpier.Analysisshows
                  thatthewaterflowstructurebehindthepiercanbesignificantlyimprovedaftertheopeningofthepier.Thecloser
                  theopeningpositionistothemiddleofthewaterdepth ,thegreaterthesuppressionofthewakevortexbehindthe
                  pier,andthebetterthecontroloftheflowaroundthepier.Theopeningofthemiddlepositionofthewaterdepth
                  greatlyaffectstheupperandlowerwaterflowbehindtheslottedpier ,makingtheopeningthemostinfluentialon
                  thetime - averagedflowvelocity ,andtheopeningalsohasthegreatestandbestsuppressiononthevortex.Tosup
                  presstheadverseeffectsofvorticesbehindthepiersontheproject ,thewaterdepthbehindthepiersandabutments
                  shouldbedeterminedfirstinthedesignoftheproject ,andtheopeningpositionshouldbesetasmuchaspossible
                  inthemiddleofthewaterdepthbehindthepiersandabutments.
