                  Abstract:Thesuctionvortexiseasytobegeneratedinthepumpsumpundertheconditionofsmallsubmerged
                  depth,whichaffectsthesafeandstableoperationofthepumpingstation.Inordertostudytheformationmecha
                  nism ofthesuctionvortexbeforetheinletofthesuctionpipeofthecentrifugalpumpandexploretheinfluenceofthe
                  suctionvortexontheflowcomponents ,thevisualizationtestwascarriedouttocapturethedynamicdevelopment
                  processofthesuctionvortex,andthenumericalsimulationmethodwascarriedouttoanalyzethecauseofsuction
                  vortexanditseffectonimpellerperformance.Theresultsshowthattheaccuracyofnumericalsimulationofthesuc
                  tionvortex ,includingtheinception,development,strengtheningandretentionstages,isverifiedbyvisualization
                  experiment.Apenetratingsuctionvortexappearsunderthecalculatedcondition.Theairenterstheinletofthesuc
                  tionpipeintheformof‘funnelshape’aircore,andcontinuestoenterotherflowcomponentsintheformofacon
                  tinuouslyfallingbrokenairbag.Thedevelopmentofsuctionvortexisaperiodicprocessaccompaniedbythecollec
                  tion ,maintenanceanddissipationofvortexenergy,whichismainlyaffectedbythelargevelocitygradient.The
                  suctionvortexcarriesairintothesuctionpipe ,causingthedisorderedflowinsidethesuctionpipe.Thedistortion
                  inflowmakestheuniformityofthevelocitydistributionandtheweightedaverageangleofthevelocitydecreaseobvi
                  ously ,andtheassumptionofuniforminflowintheaxialdirectionoftheimpellerfails,whichaffectstheinternal
                  flowoftheimpeller.Thedevelopmentofthesuctionvortexhasasignificantcorrelationwiththepowerandefficien
                  cyoftheimpeller.Intheprocessofcarryinggas,theaccumulationofgasphaseleadstoalow - speedregionnear
                  thesuctionsurfaceoftheblade,resultinginasignificantdecreaseinthepressuredifference.Theloaddistribution
                  isunevenandthepowercapacityoftheimpellerreduces.
