Abstract:Inlargeirrigationdistrict,canalpoolshavelargelengthandflowrate,withmanyscatteredwateroff
takegates ,IntegratorDelay(ID)modelisnotveryapplicableanditsparametersarenoteasytorate.Basedonthe
real - timeobservationsystemofinternet - of - waterirrigationdistrict,segmentingsinglecanalpool,consideringthe
timedelaydifferencesofeachofftakegateandtheeffectofnon - backwaterareastoragechangesonthewaterlevelin
backwaterarea ,SegmentIntegratorDelay(SID)modelisproposed,andAdaptivePredictiveControl(APC)
algorithmwithonlineidentificationisestablished,theperformanceofthealgorithm isverifiedbysimulationin
NingxiaXiganquCanal.TheresultsshowthattheID - basedLinearQuadraticcontrol(LQ)andModelPredictive
Control(MPC)canstabilizethewaterlevelwithconstantwaterleveltarget,buttheovershootislarge,control
essentiallyfailswhenthewaterleveltargetincreasessignificantly.SID - basedModelPredictiveControl (MPC)and
AdaptivePredictiveControl(APC)cancontroltheovershoottowithinsmallrange,moreover,APCprovidesbetter
controlduetosmallersystemmodelerrors.
